Action cinema finally has a home at ActionFest, the world’s only film festival devoted exclusively to action films. ActionFest celebrates the genre by showcasing the latest and the best in action cinema from all over the world for four wild days at The Carolina Asheville in beautiful, Asheville, NC.

ActionFest sets out to prove that action films can not only be art, but they’re easily one of the best forms of pure cinema. Jaw-dropping martial arts moves, gritty crime thrillers and the latest in blazing gunplay and pyrotechnics from around the world prove that action films are a universal language that can excite any audience in any place in any language.

In 2010 ActionFest featured 25 premieres of stounding films from around the world including Centurion, The Good, The Bad & The Weird and Undisputed III: Redemption, as well as informative panels with directors, stuntmen and actors, plus and some literally death-defying events in a live stunt show. A special Life Time Acheivement Award was presented to action cinema legend, Chuck Norris, who graced the stage to accept it, at the first ever ActionFest Awards Ceremony.
