I love motorsport; I love photography. And over the past few years I've figured out that I'm quite good at combining the two. My ambition is to photograph Formula One for a living. It's the most exciting sport on the planet; a theatre of speed, passion, colour and drama. The perfect canvas for a lensman!

I owe my obsession with shooting racing cars to Darren Heath, Rainer Schlegelmilch and Paul-Henri Cahier, each of whose works have been a constant source of inspiration. I'm also a great admirer of the photography of Jacques-Henri Lartigue (to whom the quotation on the left belongs). He did impossible, mind-bending things with a camera, especially considering the era during which he worked. My favourite photograph of all time is his work of 1912 entitled “Car Trip, Papa at 80 kilometres an hour”.
