The Acoustic Vortex is a musical parish, minyan, sangha, social club, academy, think-tank, feel-tank, and musical social action squadron. While acoustic music is at the core of the Vortex’s swirl, our overall focus is on the extension of musical and social collaboration—and using the former in the service of the latter.

We are a non-profit organization and we put on house concerts in Larkspur, CA.

The Acoustic Vortex therefore encompasses both the musicians playing the gigs and the members of the audiences. In addition to their professional outings, our musicians have done benefit concerts for organizations as diverse as the Rain Forest Sustainability Project, Muir Beach Volunteer Fire Department, the Arete Fund, and Bread & Roses.
