Tavish currently splits his time between the Lower East Side in New York and downtown Montreal, but he grew up in the snow filled parking lots of central Canada before heading East. His cultural background includes both Scotland and Taiwan, an unusual combination that may explain the mix of European and Asian influences in his style. His work was profiled recently in Illustration Now, published by Taschen.

He rarely watches television, spends far too much time in front of a monitor, and looks at magazines for the pictures. His design and art direction work has garnered him recognition from the D&AD, The Art Directors Club, and Print Magazine, among others. His personal website is Acidtwist, and he directs videos with partner Celia under the moniker Notice Bureau.
