We are the Angel City Derby Girls, Southern California’s premiere flat track roller derby league! The Angel City charter team that competes for WFTDA ranking, the Hollywood Scarlets, are currently #6 in the world!

The Angel City Derby Girls are a group of women now in their 9th season that have come together purely out of the love of the sport. Some of the athletes have chosen names like Chica Go Lightning, Mickispeedia, Shunami Bomb, AlbaToss and AC Slaughter, to embrace the kitsch of the old-style of roller derby by paying homage to the legacy of skaters who often adopted pseudonyms or nicknames. Despite the witty names, we are serious about the modern incarnation of the sport! ACDG is entirely volunteer-run, skater-owned and operated organization, and is one of the most competitive programs in the West. Your support of our all-ages events brings a new and exciting option to Culver City’s nightlife that is both sport and entertainment all rolled into one.

ACDG has 4 competitive teams and 6 total levels of skaters. The Hollywood Scarlets represent ACDG internationally and play against teams for ranking and playoff tournament. They play the highest level of roller derby there is! The Rocket Queens and Shore Shots represent ACDG regionally and play other teams in California and the Western Region. The Road Ragers compete locally, playing teams predominantly from all over Southern California. The Rising Stars are our skaters that perform in expo bouts and are the future team skaters of the league, in addition to our Fresh Meat (derby girls in training).
