Bird photography is a hobby.

I am strictly an amateur photographer with an interest in nature and wildlife, especially birds.

I use mostly automatic settings on my Nikon D-40 and seldom use my tripod. I have bird feeders in my front and back yards that attract most of my subjects.

I always take my camera along on daily exercise walks, either in the neighborhood or at nearby parks in Louisville. Many trips are planned around nature preserves or National Parks.

I have lived in several countries but returned permanently to my hometown in 2005, where I live very happily with my tremendous life partner, Kate.
