Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer.

I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.

When I was a teenager, I wanted to learn the guitar, so I asked a friend if I could borrow his. He said yes, taught me a few tricks and I've been playing it ever since. Two years ago, I wanted to get a digital SLR, so I asked Alexis if I could borrow his 350D for a day, and just as it took a week to get the hang of three chords, I got one good photo out of a hundred on that first day. Alexis is one of the reasons I'm on flikr now, posting my own photos, and he's the first person I bug when I want advice on what to get next. His technique is always so effortlessly competent and the images so crisp and composed that I suspect he's really a robot.
