This is my 4th year on Flickr and there have been (too many) moments that I despaired of this medium and wanted to give up as I could no longer for my own conscience hand out (and get) superficial comments and look at too many mediocre photos. But lo and behold! There's ANDY! His unique view, his capacity to always surprise with AHA moments, his wonderful representation of reality that reaches parts of our minds and hearts other photographers cannot reach ..... he is one of the reasons to continue enjoying Flickr. Moreover, Andy is a kind spirit who is never satisfied with a cliché comment and whose words of praise or encouragement are always very much welcomed. Thanks Andy, for your photos and your presence .... !

Any quick glance across Andy's images will readily conclude in one's mind....."these are the work of a true artist....a craftsman....an intuitive and creative individual". So why state the bloody obvious here? If you are (other than Andy) reading this.....you have pressed passed the casual onlooker and are now moving into the realm of "I want to know more". Well let me say...he is worth the knowing. I find his images a staggering delight in light and shadow....color and composition....and the world of the candid. But the thing that makes having Andy as a contact and friend a real delight is his approachability, support and generosity of spirit. A man with his talent and following taking the time he does to look through and comment on the amateurish images I churn out ...while never the once making me feel.....well, the amateur. He is a real inspiration and a worthy place to spend some time.

Ho scoperto questo stream pochi giorni fa, l'ho trovato spettacolare fino al punto di decidermi a scrivere il primo testimonial in 4 anni di storia su Flickr. Le foto sono molto varie e versatili ma tengono sempre uno stile che evoca emozioni nascoste. Non ho parole per esprimere la bellezza che trovo nelle foto di Ąиđч, ma sono felice di aver trovato le sue foto e di averlo come contatto. Ti chiedo solo di continuare così e di migliorare ancora seguendo sempre la stessa linea, ma penso che non ti sarà difficile visto che il talento c'è e come...

che meraviglia quando ho scoperto lo stream di Ąиđч! continuo a guardarlo e riguardarlo. ha sempre uno sguardo pulito ed essenziale, ogni foto è una storia mai banale. sto imparando molto dai suoi scatti ed è diventato il mio riferimento fotografico ma soprattutto è una persona cordiale ed educata. nonostante i suoi mille contatti è sempre disposto a qualche consiglio o commento e ti ringrazia se scegli una sua foto per una galleria o una favorita ma come potresti non farlo! essendo un orso poco disposto ai commenti ne troverete pochi miei sul suo album ma quasi giornalmente lo sfoglio con cooliris.. che gioia! l'ho fatto vedere anche a una mia amica che ha una famosa galleria d'arte moderna ed è rimasta anche lei favorevolmente impressionata di suoi scatti... insomma, mi piace talmente tanto che ho cercato anche di conoscerlo dal "vero" perchè sono sicura che l'incontro con una persona così possa allargare gli orizzonti della propria vita.. che dire d'altro? sfogliate il suo album, ne trarrete gioia e imparerete qualcosa... melensa? vi ho fatto venire il diabete? poco male, guardatelo e avrete bisogno anche voi di insulina ;-)

sarò breve: andy ha uno degli stream più belli fra tutti i miei contatti. scorrerlo è un viaggio, e va percorso dall'inizio alla fine. ha un ottimo punto di vista, mai banale, è creativo e trasforma in fotografia, dà vita, a soggetti abbandonati e dimenticati - can a radiator be beautiful? yes, it can. ma del suo lavoro mi emozionano soprattutto le postproduzioni, costruite a pennello su ogni scatto, mai forzate, esasperate, truccate come si trucca una foto riuscita male. sono leggere, immateriali, quasi impercettibili, ma hanno la forza di vestire ogni volta panni diversi, sempre terribilmente a meraviglia. in una parola, complimenti. valerio
