I live in Philadelphia, take photographs, and make videos, drawings, prints, and new media work.

I like my photographs to either focus on people, or places devoid of people. I'm very fond of the proverb\riddle, "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it make a sound?" Do places exist without people to offer them a definition of their use and the memory that transforms them into spaces? This is a disconnect that I like to conceptually explore.

I'm interested in both composition and content, and think that all good photographs contain a balance of each. It is easy to like a good photograph of something interesting. My favorite photographs that I have taken are often engage quotidian references and possess an awkward composition, perspective, or both.

I also impose upon my photographs an editing process through the viewfinder. Nothing on my photostream has been cropped or corrected in any way. I don't believe in editing after the decisive moment, or posing a photograph to claim a legitimate emotional concern. Call me a purist & bresson-loving photographer, but I only claim to document the moments that the shutter snaps; nothing more or less.

The only thing I hope is that after looking at my work, you enjoyed it.
