Abandoned Mines Of Ireland
Drag to set position!
Abandoned Mines Of Ireland was set up in 2013 by two friends with a passion of exploring old abandoned structures. At the start of the year we decided to set up a group dedicated to exploring the old abandoned mines which lay hidden in Ireland.
We got our first taste of underground exploration when we planned a trip to the amazing Gleniff Barytes Mine in Benbulben, after this trip we became addicted to exploring the murly underground and began exploring many Coal Mines in the East as well as the more famous mines such as Shallee and Glendalough.
Over the last year we have organized trips to some amazing places and have even camped overnight in a few. In 2014 we plan to produce more videos and get even more images of these fantastic places. For safety reasons we will not be providing location information to these places.
In the past we have been accused of being wreckless and have encouraged people to visit these places but we can assure that we are far from wreckless, we take safety very seriously and will never enter a mine unless we know for sure it is safe. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for having an interest in our work.
