Hello. I have only recently purchased a film camera, after years of relying on cell phone and digital point-and-shoot cameras of varying quality. After many years of frustration in trying to achieve the results I could clearly see in my head but couldn't reproduce with my limited means.

After a couple of days of intense googling, I came to the conclusion that a Minolta system was the way to go. Since the old manual focus lenses aren't directly supported by any current digital systems, they're available fairly cheaply and they have pretty extraordinary quality of materials and construction.

About myself, I work in publishing and am a returned Peace Corps volunteer. I live in Jersey City, New Jersey and work in Manhattan. I live with my wonderful girlfriend (also a RPCV) and a cat. I graduated with degrees in Creative Writing and History from Ohio University. I am originally from Ohio.
