Photography is both my vocation and avocation. I have had a camera in my hand since the age of 5 and started working professionally at age 20 while still a college student.

Currently, if a label is necessary, I would call myself a visual artist. Presently most of the images I make are either for the sake of art or simply documenting my personal life and family. Occasionally I accept paid assignments that interest me.

I have a degree in journalism and after graduating from college worked for a short time as a writer and photographer for a daily newspaper. Since then most of my professional experience has been with portrait and wedding photography, but along the way I have been involved in a variety of commercial and editorial work.

For now let's say I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to do when I grow up.
