Whenever I look at AArchibald's photos, I find myself wishing I knew how to be so playful. Whether she’s hanging upside down in trees, or choking down KFC, I’m aware of a happy person, playing with life in a way I want to. In fact, I’m jealous of her. Obviously of her glowing personality, and her incredible beauty, but also because of her location in the Caribbean. She may very well be the catalyst, which makes me move to a warmer climate, so I can climb trees. How perfect would that be?

Where to begin? OK, first, she lives in the Caribbean. Aren't you jealous now? Second, she can be found hanging upside down from trees. So, obviously, she'd be the most fun to hang out with! Finally, she takes the most beautiful, interesting, and intimate self-portraits. I really feel like I've gotten to know special pieces of her by constantly trolling her photostream and looking at all those wonderful self-portraits! And yes, she's part of an awesome little group, so I get to discuss really important topics with her like whether or not ladies should fart in front of other people! (For the record, I would, but she wouldn't. Clearly, she's more of a lady than I'll ever be.)

Sometimes they're whimsical, lilting and child-like; other times, they're brooding and introspective. They are always, however, honest and well-executed. AArchi also has a way with light. I'm not sure if the sun follows her around and lights her perfectly, or if she's just a master of the well-lighted shot. Her photos glow. And that's appropriate, because she glows, too. If AArchibald's photos don't inspire some warm response in you, she will. Come for the photos; stay for the lovely girl. If her shot entitled "Do You Miss Me Yet?" doesn't win you over, your heart is made of stone. :)

Hell, I bet she causes animals and small children to fall in love with her.
