The Association of Arizona Food Banks is dedicated to eradicating the hunger epidemic in Arizona. We help promote and advocate for Arizona’s food banks. One of our biggest projects is the Arizona Statewide Gleaning Project, which is the rescuing and distribution of food that would otherwise go to waste. The project has helped rescue, transport and distribute more than 722 million pounds of food. We help Arizona’s food banks through creating awareness, assisting with collecting and distributing food to those in need, advocating relevant issues through public policy on their behalf, and aiding in developing their community of supporters, building relationships and partnerships, and finding resources.
