For most of my life as an artist I’ve been inspired by music and photography. As I matured technically I discovered within a transition from traditional subject matter to the exciting world of abstract, and that emotion was the basis for inspiration and execution. Inspiration could be music, a perfect June day in springtime, the smile of a child. Drawing from within, subject matter need not be three dimensional. It can be color played against color; or composition and depth challenges on a two dimensional surface.
My current quest is to lift the veil of mystery surrounding abstract painting so that others may discover abstract paintings fascination and satisfaction.
