Zumi came into contact with the street art scene early on and was one of the initial participants in formative group street art experiments called Expression Sessions in Buenos Aires. One of the few female artists to take her work into the streets of the city, Zumi comes to street art from a background in the field of fashion design which has contributed to the development of a unique style that is colorful and feminine.

Taking inspiration from nature and from her day to day life, Zumi combines idealized versions of flowers, trees and animals in the creation of her own natural landscapes.

Using a palette of pastel colors Zumi develops graceful murals which provide oases of serenity amidst the crowded and noisy city streets. Discovering one of her pieces delicately draped across a crumbling concrete wall brings to mind ideas of peace, purity, and joy.

Zumi’s art is an excellent example of the power of street art to positively affect urban landscapes and our interactions with them. Currently residing in San Pablo, Zumi continues to develop both independent and collaborative works on the streets and in gallery settings.
