We can taste but we can't eat, we wonder but we can never really know for sure. I have always loved his work. There is such a "lucid dream-like " quality about them. He has such a loving eye for all that he sees. I have no doubt that he is a intense and passionate man. Quiet and calm on the outside, but fire and storms rage on the inside, never quite silent, never at rest." His self portraits are theatrical and bold, honest and arresting, mysterious and alive. He is the king of mirrors within his lucid dreams, sharing and capturing the kind of material that I wish I could shoot; and does so even better than I could ever imagine in my Technicolor visions.
