Thank you for showing interest in my pictures. Since you found your way to my profile, you probably want to know something about me as well.

I posted my first pictures to Flickr on 16th of April 2007. Flickr has been very inspiring experience for me. There is so much creativity and talent among the members of Flickr. Seeing all those masterpieces has been very inspiring and have made me want to learn new things.

I was living and working in Cambodia since 2001. I was involved in work that supported some of the pre-literate ethnic minority groups to develop writing systems in their mothertongue and building capacity of local teachers, trainers, artists, material- and curriculum developers.

I lived and worked in Ratanakiri province for a few years, but were later working from Phnom Penh head office.

I moved to Laos in the end of year 2009. I was working there as Programme Advisor for CRWRC. I was mainly involved in the area of improving educational opportunities for the ethnic minority people in highlands of Laos.

Since 2015 I have been living and working from Helsinki, Finland.

I have not posted in Flickr for years, but I am still active photographer. I have posted some more recent photos to arivitikainenphotography.com but

I post my most recent picture in Facebook for friends (Ari Vitikainen, Helsinki) and to Instagram (arivitikainen). See you there :-)
