FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ABOUT ALLOY WHEELS.

WHAT ALLOY WHEELS ARE THE RIGHT ONES FOR ME?

To find the right Alloy Wheels for you, simply decide what the end look of your car should be. Are you looking for an aggressive Racecar look, or do you want to have a sportive and elegant-looking vehicle for daily driving?

Following this guideline will help you quickly define what Alloy Wheels design and finish will be perfect for you.

WHAT ARE MAG WHEELS AND ARE YOU SELLING THEM?

The term Mag Wheels is the short form of "Magnesium Wheels." It is a term from the 70s where 3 piece wheels were also made from Magnesium to save weight. Nowadays, Mag Wheels are forbidden by law in every country with vehicle regulations.

Mag Wheels are forbidden by law because they catch very easy fire in case your tire is damaged during driving, and the mag wheel touches the ground while driving. Therefore, no company on planet earth following the authority rules will offer you Mag Wheels.

ARE US MAG WHEELS REALLY MADE FROM MAGNESIUM?

As just explained before, US MAG Wheels are not made from Magnesium. Some companies are using this for branding purposes. Still, they are usually made from low-quality aluminum to save money in production. You can get them for a very low price, but they tend to bend on every small pothole that says hello. You get what you pay, as usual in life.

ARE ALLOY WHEELS UAE COVERED BY LOMA®?

Yes, Alloy Wheels UAE is covered by LOMA® since our brand has 3 different manufacturing points worldwide. Since 2008 LOMA® Wheels has been one of the fastest growing alloy wheels businesses worldwide, covering around 32% of the worldwide private label production. Nearly 28% of our rims are made for racing and the rest for performance and luxury cars which the United Arab Emirates is famous for.

In December 2021, the company moved its production from Monaco (Design Studio) and France (Main Production Plant) to the UAE. We are very proud and honored to have the possibility of being a part of this great market.

WHY CAN I NOT CALL LOMA VIA PHONE?

The reason why you can't reach us by phone is the following.

Since 2008, the LOMA® Group has grown so fast that over 612 employees have been working worldwide for the company in different areas. The custom wheels aftermarket sector was just one part of it. Motorsports and OEM alloy wheels production and prototyping were other ones. Our success was not only that our product was desired but also that we launched one of the biggest private label programs in the custom wheel's history as a counterpart of all the low-quality rims from China.

However, since the Pandemic in 2020 started, the company faced 6 hard lockdowns in Monaco and France, where working was absolutely impossible, and threatened with fines of up to 250,000 Euros ($245,000) if rules were violated. Even groceries were guarded by Police and Security personnel as they did not allow people to buy food which caused war-like scenes all over France.

The Government promised to cover the loss for every company, which they didn't. The economy and our partners stood still as business was simply shut down. We have paid our workers as long as we could without hurting the brand but had at the end to say goodbye unfortunately to over 30% of our employees. How the EU Governments handled the Pandemic and the support for European businesses was why we decided to leave the EU and move to the United Arab Emirates.

Since then, customer service has been available only by live chat or email because we still have over 300 inquiries on average per week, which is impossible to handle for any customer service by phone because the products are so specific and have naturally many questions. Since many of our partners and resellers did not survive the Pandemic lockdowns, all of those inquiries are coming now to us.

This is why we decided to say only live chat or email to give the best customer service possible and not try to talk to every customer and deliver a poor sales experience. We still try to improve because, in our 1,5 decades in business, this situation is as new to us as it is to you.

Still, we want to thank all our customers and supporters, and we are internally working on it to be soon available as we were in the past for you.

WHAT ARE STAGGERED WHEELS?

The term " Staggered Wheels " means that the front alloy wheels are different in width than the front wheels. For example, on a Porsche 911 Turbo, you would have 20 x 9,0 on the front and 21 x 12,5 on the rear. That's what staggered wheels mean.

As an example, a four-wheel drive like an Audi A8 would have all 4 alloy wheels in the same size. But also, here we have some differences. While Mercedes and other car manufacturers offer their 4x4 cars with staggered wheels, Audi is one of the few with a unique 4x4 system, allowing only the exact sizes on front and rear.

So if you are looking for staggered wheels, you know now that from, and rear will be different in width or width and size.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF HAVING STAGGERED WHEELS?

The most significant benefit of having staggered wheels is that you have far more options and combinations than non-staggered wheels.

For example, you just need to go in front of your car and look at your stock alloy wheels. You will quickly see that the tires are sticking over the rims. Usually, car manufacturers do this to protect the rims of curbs during parking. The second thing you will recognize is that the offset is not really ideal for your stock alloy wheels. Usually, they are 10 to 25 millimeters inwards of your fenders, giving the car a boring look.

So one of the main advantages of having staggered wheels is that with your new alloy wheels with custom offsets, your rims will flush with the fenders. They will perfectly align with the outer edge of your front and rear fenders, making the car look wider and more aggressive.

But that is just the optical part. When it comes to driving, your staggered wheels will change your driving experience drastically. Better traction, better braking, and far better stability at high-speed. The wider tires stabilize the car, which benefits your driving experience.
