The blog is about the idiosyncrasies of a family like us attempting to refurbish a family home within a Victorian house which has been barely touched for 40 years. It’s about taking a house back to its bare bones and layering it back up with love, comfort, function and hopefully not too much woodchip wallpaper. Its about trying to do all these things whilst being as environmentally aware as we can, sticking to a fairly inflexible budget and staying both sane and married. It’s about our relationship with the house, the builders and each other. It’s about our son growing up and the developments he makes. It’s about spacial and interior design, the trend for vintage and (almost certainly) John Lewis. It’s about the realities of living life in the present whilst dreaming about the future.
