DSLR Grandmaster of Photography
Many people across this planet actually see colors of various hues more vividly than most people. I happen to be one of those people, so I try to reflect, as closely as I can, exactly what I saw with my eyes when I took a shot. Cameras almost never pick up the colors exactly as seen, so I use adjustments in post-processing like lighting, brightness, darkness, contrast, and the amount of black/white. I avoid the saturation sliders/adjustments since a few of the other adjustments do the trick. I hope this helps you to understand my photography a bit better.
I have enjoyed photography off and on since I was a little kid with my first Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera. I graduated to 35mm photography in the early '70s, strictly on an amateur basis. Later, I used photography on an almost daily basis in conjunction with my work and got burned out on it. Then Digital came along. Digital photography has renewed the joy I remember having as a kid and intensified my desire to take more strange, beautiful, amusing, or emotional photographs. I enjoy looking at and am inspired by, so many of the photos I see here.
UPDATE: And then came AI. I've been experimenting with several AI image generators. Many of you dislike, or even hate, AI and don't believe it should be an art form. I have aged, and not very well. I have a difficult time getting out in the field with a camera due to vision problems and other medical issues, so I am using AI tools and enjoying the experience immensely.
Many people, including artists such as painters and photographers, seem to believe AI is the "creator", but it's not. AI is a tool. Picture a hammer. A hammer doesn't do a damned thing until someone picks it up and uses it to hit a nail. AI doesn't do anything until someone creates a description of an image they wish to see, making that person the "creator." Instead of using camera settings, they are using their words to create an image. I have seen too many AI prompts using "in the style of (name an artist here)" and I firmly believe that is wrong because I feel that it is plagiarism and theft. Most of you probably feel the same, and I think that is where the intense hatred of AI originated. If you are using AI word-to-image generators, please refrain from that practice.
I am based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and am currently focusing on photographing places in New Mexico and surrounding desert areas, especially Native American ruins and desert landscapes. I also take some close-up and macro photos of flowers and a variety of other things.

Tom has been both a Flickr friend, and a real friend, for several years. I've been privileged, and delighted, to watch the evolution of his wonderful art. So much care is taken....such a great eye for composition and tonality! Such a wonderful ability to see beyond the immediate visual impact of the photo, and to, somehow, always deliver the substantive emotion that accompanies it. Thank you for your friendship, Tom. And thank you for your wonderful artistry!
