In the fall of '06 I finally made the jump from film and got a digital SLR (Sony A100). It was hard to give up my fully manual old Nikon, but there are too many advantages with digital. I do feel over-welmed with all the camera and computer stuff but I am eager to learn the craft. Any comments, pointers, &/or criticism are welcome & appreciated.

*Up-date 11/3/08 - Back in August '08 I had shut down my page, a result of being way too busy with work and a loss of interest with Flickr & photography played a role. But the main reason was a dispute I had with a dear flickr friend. Any who, after being talked into taking a class by a guy I know who teaches photography at a local community college, I've had a renewed interest in photography, sharing, and learning from those of you who actually know what they are doing ;-)

Side Note: One of the things I am passionate about is US politics, and I am not a moderate! Many of my contacts have never heard a political comment from me because I do not choose to use my page as a bulletin board for any view, but I have no objection to those who do. However, when ever the subject presents itself, I do not shy away and love a discussion and healthy debate.

The only thing I won't put up with is any one who becomes angry & vulgar. If you can't tolerate occasionally hearing a thoughtful view point that may be different from your own, do not add me as a contact!
