Dear visitor,
Thank You for browsing to this place! You will find an unsorted selection of my photographs here.
I started photography in late 2005 - first considering it as a supporting technique for my watercolor painting. But it became my most beloved hobby pretty quickly. In the meantime I tried out medium and large format, but my daily photography (well not really daily...) is still done by that old manual focus Minolta gear. I am so excited by the precision of its craftsmanship that I never would want change to the present consumer grade digital gear.
I also became a collector of Rokkor lenses - these nearly forgotten gems allow me to take all these images in a stunning quality (when I'm not too lazy to carry the tripod...).
With the advent of the Sony Alpha7 I went digital making use of my favourite prime lenses. Unfortunately the amount of my spare time massively decreased - and I try to put most of it in various mountaineering activities. So I fear that the amount of good frames did decline. At the same time Flickr did massively spoil its user interface, and hence I've become a rare visitor here. Anyway, I will go on to post in a very unregular manner.
Hopefully You may find some appealing images anyway...
Best regards
Peter

I've known Peter for a good while now on Flickr and I want to say that he is a major contributor here to the art of photography, both through his brilliant and well-composed photographs, and through his thorough knowledge of film and film cameras, notably Minolta and Rokkor. Peter is a walking encyclopedia of information on all things Minolta and has generously imparted that knowledge in the group Minolta XD which he is administrator of. But, apart from his knowledge and experience with the technical aspects of things, he is truly a wonderful photographer who is a perfectionist and past master of the landscape art. And he works hard at it. I know for a fact that Peter lugs his tripod places where most of us would eschew such luggage and he does it for the love of his art and because he invariably seeks and finds what we all want--the perfect exposure. Thank you, Peter, for being such a valuable friend to those of us that still prefer film and manual focus and thank you, too, for your Minoltian expertise.
