This is all my parents fault making me wave at Marra Man and other drivers on the Medway valley line from our garden fence where 33056 "The Burma Star" was the family favourite. A further 8 years living by the Great Western Main Line and by Exeter St Davids didn't help. Film was expensive, developing the photos more so and my pocket money not much in comparison so there are few photo if any from back then. A big thank you in changing the lack of photos has to go to Arthur Turner who ran my schools "train club" taking us on numerous school outings like our annual Toton depot trip. Without the photographic competitions he organised, trying to make us think about what pictures we were taking, most of my photos would be truly terrible. For work I have found copyright issues can make simple things extremely difficult so almost all my photos are shared under a creative commons licence and may be used however people wish as long as they don't make money from them. To me this is just a bit of fun, especially now my own children get to enjoy waving to trains too. To those who know who they are thanks for all the beeps and waves.
