My name is Matthew Woitunski. I am 34 years old, and I am from Boston, MA. I served in the United States Army from 1999 to 2006. After my second combat tour in Iraq I decided it was time to move on. I then began working for the company Philips Healthcare as a field service engineer. I service many different types of radiographic imaging systems. I also do a lot of photography; I am constantly working on my stock portfolio. I am a contributor with Getty Images. I also shoot commercially; I have recently completed a couple catalog shoots with Ipath Footwear. In the warmer months I also shoot sporting events with the company Brightroom.

I have chosen photography as my field of study; I have been living behind the lens since 2005. It is something that I love doing, and I am very passionate about my work. As far as equipment goes I am a Canon guy. My primary body is 5dMKII. My go to lenses are the 24-70 f/2.8 and the 70-200 f/2.8 and sometimes the 85 f/1.2 . I’m not really into studio lighting, so a lot of my shots are done via Pocket Wizards and a few Speedlight’s with various modifiers.

One of my favorite things to photograph is live music I have a website dedicated to it. It is called iShootSickBands.com. I enjoy doing this because it is the artist helping the artist. They give me the artistic drive and I give them great product to help them promote and grow as a fellow artist.
