Born in Switzerland, I was raised in the USA. I learned to hike and backpack in the Wallowas of NE Oregon and branched out to the Blue Mountains of SE Washington. I currently live near Seattle so I hike in a variety of environments now including alpine, rain forest, desert, montane and sea coast.
