I enjoy using my camera to better see, understand and feel my surroundings. Reaching and expressing the soul of the subject, animate or inanimate, or event is a goal. Oysters4me, Jon, is a visual storyteller, a chronicler of life in the Pacific Northwest--especially the Puget Sound and Olympic Peninsula, but also the Cascades and Alaska. He depicts the life and livelihoods in and around the sea and shores. Some of his photos are astoundingly beautiful, some are...not beautiful (mud runs, raw oysters), but all, always, are interesting and communicate his curiosity and sympathetic interest. I always learn something when I visit his photostream, and I always enjoy it!
