My Experience with HALO Trust Kosovo (1999–2007)

I served with HALO Trust for 8 years, starting right after the war, in 1999, in Ferizaj (Uroševac). Those were critical times, when Kosovo was still littered with landmines and unexploded bombs. HALO Trust was one of the first organizations to respond — clearing the land, saving lives.

💣 As an Operations Officer, I worked in hazardous terrain to locate and remove explosive remnants of war, helping to make the country safe for civilians, families, and farmers. It was dangerous work — but deeply meaningful.

I am proud to have been part of a courageous, professional team. Those years shaped me, and I will always carry the memory of our mission — not just a job, but a duty to peace and humanity.
