I love store windows. They are ephemeral worlds, often reflecting the kaleidoscopic whimsy and imagination that is San Francisco. Photos of windows become infused worlds of what's inside the window and what exists behind you. Rather than wait for people to pass by, I try to capture the pedestrians as part of the montage. My love of store windows was inspired by the box artist Joseph Cornell. I occasionally dabble in making box art.

Street art is another passion of mine, and San Francisco has some of the best. I grew up in New York, lived in Kansas for 10 years, and have been in San Francisco for 16 years, still amazed at its infinite visual richness.
