I'm 51 years old, married with two school age children and am employed full time in the Electronics Industry of Silicon Valley.

I got interested in photography as a high school sophmore. I washed neighborhood cars and mowed lawns to get the money to but my 1st SLR camera - a Mamiya Sekor for $150. I graduated to a Nikkormat in college and got a 125mm telephoto lens (fixed length).

Unfortunately, the cumbersome analog technology of the age was discouraging and I lost interest.

But the digital age was born and so my photographic enthusiam was re-born, ten fold. I have been doing digital for three years now. Many pics are from a re-built Olympus C-4000 4.0MP, w/3x optical zoom. I am now working with a Nikon D50 with a 28-105mm zoom and a 70-300mm zoom.

I characterize my style as Illustrative. My camera seems drawn toward nature's detail. You will probably notice many plant and animal close-ups in my "Accidental Designs Phtotgraphic Art" set.

I also have a huge interest in human subjects. Very few things float my boat like freezing moments in time of people living their lives with passion, thus the name of my "Passionate Humanity" set.

Thanks for coming,

Doug
