A warm welcome to the ‘Mr Mildenhall’ Flickr site. Thank you to all of you who visit the site and make some of my photographs 'your favourites' or who would like to include some in your particular 'Groups'.

I have been interested in the transport scene (primarily railways and buses) since I was first taken up Haringey Bank in London in the early 1960’s by my Mother. However, it has been since 1980 that the interest has really taken off with the emphasis on East Anglia and the Home Counties.

With the demise of many loco-hauled services in the UK, I have ventured overseas (Switzerland in particular). The start of the 21st century and the influence of two friends accelerated that process! I was involved in bus preservation for some 15 years, helping to restore Routemasters RM835 and RML2456 (amongst others). However, increasing caring responsibilities for my now deceased-Parents meant that I had to reprioritise and spend more time with them at home.

I welcome constructive criticism (or even praise) on any photograph you view. However, any abuse or insults will be deleted and the person will have their access blocked.
