Thank you for visiting my profile, and taking a further interest in my photography.

My name is Christopher McHugh, a 25 year old, from Belfast Ireland. My main subjects are Landscape, Cityscapes and Wildlife. However I am trying to shoot more portraits. I am an outdoor and travel enthusiast and I love the feeling of solitude, or chaos that can be portrayed in Land/Cityscape work, but I also love portraying the emotions that can be caught in the eyes of Wildlife.

I had been shooting for about a year. I was happy with the quality of photos that I was producing. I was in college, and at an end of semester critique, in front of a class of about 100, my work got selected. Now I will cut a long story short, my lecturer laughed and said a phrase I will never forget - "maybe you should leave photography to those that know how to do it". And this is what I did, I put down my camera and never shot another photo, not even on a compact. Daft right? At the age of 25, 3 years out of college, about 6 six years since I decided to give up the art, I have just bought an entry level DSLR; Canon 1100d with the basic kit lens, 18-55 III.
