Armed with a graduate degree in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University and an MBA from Robert Morris University, Chicago, David B. Amburgey believes that the Internet is a powerful tool that progressively educates, entertains, and connects people in new and more meaningful ways everyday. As fate would have it, there were a lot of people already writing for online news magazines, and David’s degree journalism didn’t come with a readily available position of employment. So, he is currently developing his portfolio at www.umbrellacafe.wordpress.com, where he foregoes the cubicle lifestyle of many online writers and hits the streets with his camera and the hopes of one day producing multimedia stories for a reputable organization.

At UmbrellaCafe, David is currently working on a couple of different projects, including a web-series titled Quick Questions, a set of videos David is filming throughout the city of Chicago where he interviews everyday, ordinary people on the street, simply asking thought provoking questions and filming the responses. Also, David is filming a series of musician biographies, concentrating primarily on local musicians here in Chicago for the next few months and hopefully expanding on this to other larger metropolitan areas next year.
