Drager Meurtant (1951) is visual artist and poet. Earlier he worked in clinical-biomedical research. Over the years interest in art - spanning many centuries - increased, with special focus on visual art. He writes poetry since a long time. Analog photography was done for many years and on some occasions still today. In recent years digital photography took greater place. Also, the creation of sculptures - most in form of assemblages - with mostly the use of natural materials (wood, stone) in addition to construction material (glass, metal) at the basis. Examination of the effect of juxtaposition of different materials is central. A simple suit of illusions will not be accepted. In more recent years the medium collage, graphics and are explored as well.
Since 2013 member of the International Society of Collage and Assemblage, and since 2017 of Sculpture Network.
