Benjamin Steven Tan

I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I'm a mixed ancestry(Eurasian), being mixed to Australian and Chinese/Malaysian descent. I'm a student in Trinity Grammar in year 9 this year. I also have a brother named Jensen in year 7. My surname belongs to my mother, Nicole Tan.

Photography for me started when I was 11 years old, when my mum bought me my first Canon EOS Rebel T1i, for a Christmas, mostly at a young age, I shot wildlife photography. When became a new student in Trinity Grammar, I started shooting photographs for the school. In late 2012, the school wanted the photos to be printed out, which I started using 35mm of film both B&;W and colour film. Many people ask me what do I do with my photographs? Well, I've got an analog black and white darkroom, so I develop all my film inside the darkroom and print my photos using developer, Stop Baths and Fixer. With colour film, I give it to the lab to print and scan the films.
