I started really getting interested in photography about 1960 when I bought a Sears 35mm adjustable camera with paper route money. I've been shooting since but my interest really awakened in early 2014 when I found my perfect camera that had all the adjustments I usually use on dials rather than menus, the Fuji X100 series. I shot thousands with my two Fujis.

But by 2020 I had moved back to film, shooting and processing B&W and Color. I develop and scan but don't print for now.

I've also been collecting cameras most of my long life.

Cameras used the most:

Barnacks (Leica I, Leica II, Leica III, Leica Standard from the 1930s, a few more Leicas from the 1950s, Canons, Fed 1, Zorki 1 and others. These are all based on the Oskar Barnack design from the 1913 - 1920s and they are all favorites.

Holgas - most every size and type including modified Holgas for night and IR shooting.

I also shoot quite a variety of other cameras from medium format to 110 including half-frame and pinhole cameras. Please see my albums to get an idea.

Pre 2020

Fuji X100F

Fuji X100s - converted to infrared by Kolari Vision to shoot any IR wavelength as well as visible light depending on filter used.

“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”

― Dorothea Lange

And I subscribe to Garry Winogrand's motto: "I photograph things to see how they look in a photograph."
