Born in Milan Italy , graduated at the famous Brera Art Academy.

Dario Piana has been drawing comic books and storyboards since 1984.

In 1985 he worked with C.Mancini ( Sergio Leone's ex.producer) and with Danilo Donati ( Fellini's famous art director , two times Oscar winner)

Since then Dario Piana has shot more than 650 commercials working all over the world with International talents such as Milena Canonero (costume designer 3 times Oscar winner) Kim Basinger, Eliott Gould , Eddie Irvine , Michael Shumacher ,Ziyi Zhang , Valentino Rossi , Ronaldo , George Clooney and many others.

He won more than 100 national and international awards some of which 3 Gold , 3 Silver and 3 Bronze Lions at Int. ADV film festival in Cannes.

One of his commercials is exhibited at the Louvre Museum in the advertising section.

He's shot two movies: THE DEATHS OF IAN STONE (Odyssey, Lionsgate ,Winston ) and THE LOST BOYS 3 (Warner Bros).

He wrote, designed and directed a 9 minute interactive 3D show with animated characters for one of the biggest amusement park in Europe.

In 2016 he wrote and directed UN'ALTRA STORIA , a short movie starring Valeria Golino and produced by Vanity Fair based on 3 novels by 3 famous Italian writer .

In 2019 he made a short movie based on Giorgio Faletti's ( I KILL ) novel.

In 2021 he direct and create the characters for a cartoon kids series on air on RAI TV network ...
