I am an investigative journalist living in Chennai, India. My work has appeared in publications all over the world including WIRED, WIRED News, Discover, Smithsonian, .Nerve, .net, and The New York Times. I have also contributed material to National Geographic (television) and NPR.

 

I have always enjoyed photography but had to take a break from it when my old NIkon was stolen in the back alleys of New Delhi in 2002. Only in the last year have I been in a position to get new equipment and am happy to report that I still remember what to do with a lens.

 

I took many of these photos while on one assignment or another, but most have never been printed. I hope that will change soon.
