My journey into the world of photography started in the summer of 2013 following my first extensive trip to India and some spectacularly awful photos. Incredibly disappointing as I had bought a Fuji film bridge camera specially for it. Anyway, having taken approximately 1,500 or so photos, only one was in focus and worth keeping! That was the moment I took up the challenge to learn how to take a decent photo. One month later I was the proud owner of a Nikon D3200.

I am self taught, mainly sourcing the internet (thank you YouTube) to learn different techniques and try and put what I have learnt into practice.

I now use a Nikon D610, which I love, but have now acquired an Olympus EM5 mark II, which having sat in a cupboard since purchase over a year ago, is starting to see some use and I am now discovering the delights of a mirrorless system.

Due to time constraints, the bulk of my pictures are now taken whilst travelling, which is my other favourite pastime.
