A former medical doctor specializing in international public health, Alfred Zerfas made several short films, including “The Tree”, “Population Growth in Tomorrow’s World”, “Hooked on Hookworm”, “Why Plant Millions of Trees”, and “Creating the Light: Rural Women Who Polish Gemstones.” He also creates video presentations from socially-oriented conferences, and helps non-government organizations publicize their work through film.

Passionate about all effective ways to present the importance of public issues and solutions to policy and decision-makers, private and public sectors, communities, general and selected populations, etc; using all means possible - billboards, graffiti, posters, on line, newscasters, theatre, music, video, etc.

He is currently working on a system to incorporate video clips within databases.
