I'm a photographer and designer in my free time while devoting my career to higher education (student affairs administration). I discovered photography at a young age alongside my father who was a freelance photograph and business man. We had a home darkroom and my 8th grade science fair project was entitled "The Effect of Light on Photography"! My father died of cancer when I was 16 and he was only 35. I gave up on serious photography and spent decades taking pictures with point and shoot cameras and/or my phone. A trip to Africa along with my love for my best friend and her family reignited my passion. I still have so much to learn, but am loving every opportunity to capture the places and people I love with my camera. I'm currently shooting with a Nikon D7200 and hope to continue gaining skills to tap into all that it can do. I've recently taken on the role of Marketing Manager for the Valdosta Academy of Performing Arts! I'm responsible for photography, design, and social media. It is a fantastic hobby born out of my love for the arts and for my friend!
