I have always loved art. As a child I loved to spend my time coloring, painting...okay it was paint by numbers but it was painting.

When I grew up I gave up on art and instead went into broadcasting. Working as a writer and producer was still a creative pursuit but it never gave me the kick painting and drawing did.

Fast forward many years and one day, out of the blue I decide to paint. It was like becoming that kid again. Color has always made me happy and I applied it to my canvas with abandon.

To find my inspiration I picked up my camera and headed into the desert and in doing so discovered yet another outlet for my creativity.

Today I'm rediscovering my passions. If I were to die tomorrow I would have to say the last three years of my life have been the most personally rewarding from a creative point of view and I'm so thankful that on a whim I bought those cheap paints and a canvas.

I am an artist. It took me a long time to be able to say that and not feel pretentious or embarrassed. I am an artist...always have been, and from now on, always will be.
