In 1990 I was offered my first digital media job as an AutoCAD drafter. I was so intrigued by the system I was to be working on I decided to leave my studies at Art Center College of Design in traditional fine arts and endorse the birth of this new media platform. Yes the huge hooded "flight controller" graphics monitor and its accompanying little green "text only" terminal screen had me. Instead of vocabulary like Rubylith, Letterset, Gauge, T-square and Mylar it became PC XT, Targa, 8MB RAM, Apple, CAD, and Digitizer. Today I look at my dual flat screen monitors, CPU, GIGs of RAM, Wacom tablet and graphics applications and chuckle over how awesome the progression of new media has become. My passion and dedication for the mastery of the digital media since has been my life's goal. Designing for print, website, photography, film, motion graphics and 3D has been my life passion. I have been fortunate to work in all those disciplines throughout my career.

When I was 16 my grandmother took me to Europe to "culture" me. Some of my most poignant memories come from musing the halls and collections of the world‘s museums. When we went to Leningrad Russia and the Hermitage my world view changed and I knew standing in front of the huge Titian of Bacchus and Ariadne I needed to study and learn the arts. It worked! I'll be forever grateful to my grandmother for giving me this wonderful experience. It changed my life as did the Hermitage, Louvre, Metropolitan, Galleria degli Uffizi, Bauhaus Archives – Museum of Design, Egyptian Museum, etc.
