Welcome to this stream which was originally started to load photos taken by my father who took railway photographs from the sixties onwards and bus shots from the early seventies. He was an historian by trade so also photographed Canals, disused railways and stations and other transport related items. I think about 7,000 of the photos on the stream are his.

Over the last 5 years I have started buying a few slides, negatives and prints myself which I am adding slowly. Most are of transport topics I enjoy so apologies if they are sometimes somewhat repetitive.

I decided to add the photos to flickr to share them with other people of similar interests, so comments, corrections and additional information are welcome. Please respect the ownership of the images, and if you wish to use them in any way contact me and we can discuss the context.
