Photography was my first love, I think. It has since expanded to cooking, songwriting and writing short stories; but it always comes back to photography. It is an avenue of storytelling, of connecting across continents and time. I love using old manual lenses with digital cameras. I'm especially fond of the Canon FD lenses from the late seventies and early eighties. I think that they project a timelessness that is lost with the sterility of today's glass.
