Journalist and travel geek Nikki Macdonald works at The Dominion Post newspaper in Wellington, NZ. She photographed and reported on the 2005 Pakistan earthquake and 2009 Samoa tsunami.

Her partner Mike White is a photojournalist at North & South magazine, who has covered the invasion of Iraq and worked in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Don't challenge him to a "How many countries have you visited" game - you will lose.
