I started photography with a very basic 126 camera at about 10 years old (1981) then a 110 with telephoto. My first 35mm was a Practica BC-1 (1983/4) with 50mm and a 70-200mm. Then followed it in around 1991 with a Canon 6oo with a 500mm and a small zoom.
I gained a City & Guilds in colour, Black & white Photography in '96 or '98 which was pretty much the last time I seriously had the eye for a decent picture and took time out to specifically take pictures that were not just snaps. I love history, architecture, candid/reportage portraiture. I had a Canon EOS 30 after the 600 when I did my C&G but because of the cost of D+P I didn't use it as much as I would have liked and since owning a phone with a camera that was supplied with a pc-phone lead I have decided to show my working album for you all to enjoy!
I allowed photography to fall to the wayside, once I was married and then only used the camera for snaps in the main. Like anything, Photography must be practiced regularly, to stay at a reasonable standard. Trying to convince my kids that I am only 21, but they keep telling me I'm 39 & seperated.
Now I have a Canon 40D, 17-85mm, 70-200mm with grip and 430ez flash.
