My journey in photography began in 1961 as an apprentice Photolithographic Camera Operator, working with a 32” × 24” mahogany and brass gallery camera using glass plates and film to reproduce CMYK separations for the Litho Printing industry. Over six decades later, the fundamentals of light, exposure, and composition learned in those early years still drive every shot I take today.

At 81, the technology has changed — the passion hasn’t. Based in the Philippines, I shoot primarily with a Nikon D850 with a range of Nikkor lenses, and frequently with an iPhone 13 Pro with all editing handled in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. My current passion is astrophotography, pushing the D850 to capture the night sky above the Philippines in all its detail.

From glass plates in 1961 to shooting the stars over Aklan — not many photographers can claim that kind of journey. 📷⭐
