I am from 1960 and grew up with parents who were fanatic amateur photographers. I learned to look at the world differently. I'm working with vintage manual focus lenses, enlarger lenses, and even with no aperture like projector lenses. I Make aperture rings and special adapters and transform these guys into world-quality pieces using 3D printing. Check out my albums to see the individual lenses.
Testing all these lenses is not an official test. In general, I am a close-focus photographer. Then the sharpness in the center of the lens is essential. The sharpness in the corners can be completely worthless, but that is unimportant to me. Close focus center sharp and a beautiful bouquet is usually what I look for. So the tests are certainly interesting if you're a close-up photographer like me.

So cool to find someone else into making taking lenses out of all sorts of other things. I love the results, too.
