For 30 years ballet, as well as photography, have been my passion. So, together they make one perfect-storm-passion. Knowing ballet makes difference in photos, makes me better ballet photographer.

I understand and shoot mostly classical ballet. I love Vaganova Academy and Russian school in general. My favourite theaters are Mariinsky, Bolshoi, Mikhailovsky, as well as Perm Ballet, Kiev Ballet, Minsk Ballet and Riga Ballet. So – the best classical ballet and most formally trained dancers come from Russian schools and companies.
